About Milner's Anodizing
In 1983 Hewlett Packard’s Santa Rosa operation decided to outsource its anodizing. Production manager Denny Milner purchased all of their equipment and set up shop a few miles away. Within a few months Denny decided his cohort at HP, Terry Burson would make a better entrepreneur and sold the business to Terry.
Terry directed Milner’s growth and development for over 20 years until his retirement in 2007 when Vanessa Valentine and Mike Marian purchased and assumed leadership of the company. As accomplished engineering and manufacturing veterans, Vanessa and Mike saw opportunities to take Milner’s to new heights in quality, service and client partnership, and expand its service offerings over time to meet the growing needs of its customers.
Milner’s Nadcap Accreditation
Today surface finishing is still our only business. Our office, Laboratory and Production areas are located in two separate buildings totaling over 10,200 square feet. Our processes and equipment are set up to provide consistent quality and can handle small quantity lots as well as volume production runs. We have responded to race car builders who need just one part to connector manufacturers who order 100,000+ parts at a time.
Recently we achieved Nadcap Accreditation for both Aerospace Quality Systems and Chemical Processing. We are the first shop anywhere in Northern California obtain this level of Officially Audited Quality Assurance Procedures.
*Nadcap is a global cooperative program supported by leading Aerospace and Defense companies. Nadcap provides unbiased, independent Manufacturing Process Assessments, Product Assessments and Certification Services, for the purpose of improving quality, adding value and reducing total costs. Our mission is purposely simple — to satisfy the surface finishing needs of our precision machining and sheet metal shops and OEM manufacturer “partners”, and give them the best value in the industry.
Our #1 goal is to provide our customers with consistently excellent quality, quick turnaround and 100% on-time delivery. Our staffing, processes, equipment and facility layout allow us to maintain a flexible production schedule to handle your rush jobs and special requests. Our success is the result of “many things done right”.
Vanessa manages the daily Production Work Flow as well as various Regulatory and Corporate tasks.
Mike manages Quality Assurance Procedures and development of new Processes and Machinery.
